THOUGHT IN WORDS BY KEN A JOURNEY THROUGH ONE MAN'S MIND

GIFT
Look within,
Strength beyond belief,
Your inner fire,
Your forever soul,
Flowing, vibrating,
Radiating, healing;
Transcend the material,
Renew your life,
Joyful tears,
Beyond your past,
Beyond all words,
Beyond all learned,
Beyond you,
Beyond me,
It is God’s Gift
Please take it!Comment: Just a reminder in 1995, that we need help to become inspired, especially when times get tough, when we are dragged down into despair.
SPRINGWinter unlaces its boots,
Sunbeams sparkle in warmth,
Water embraces the snow,
Energy envelops the aged,
Spring’s drama unfolds its beauty
To reveal our earth as heaven,
Wind whispers the secrets of Love
Humans and Nature in harmony.Comment: Sometimes we forget the heaven we have here on earth. Spring is our reminder in 1994.
REFLECTIONS
Each new life moves in directions of uncertainty,
To frontiers where new freedoms prevail;
Followed closely by the soldiers of conformity.
The West was new territory,
We wore flowers in our hair;
But now it is inner and outer spaces,
Micro and macro realities,
And time and space dimensions
That capture insight for the free.
The electricity of a molecule,
The chemistry of changing matter,
The relationships of cellular life,
The migratory nature of societies,
The rotations of galaxies,
The space between atoms,
The explosion of a universe,
The everything called unknown.
The truths we know are mostly what we are told,
From your viewpoint, can you see the illusions?Comment: Free intellect understands the confines of knowledge. To learn wisdom, one must eventually let go of all teachings yet retain their value. It is these values that make up our moral and ethical codes. Unfortunately so many are using knowledge for greed in 1980.
DISCOVERYCome join me outside of time,
Together we’ll find a new rhyme
In the warmth of the thoughts you send;
Welcome, its nice to be your friend.Come travel to the other side of you,
Seeing the false and all that is true;
An open universe for you to behold,
Yesterday’s promise of which we were told.Faster than light we’ll fly with new wings,
To those songs modern prophets do sing;
Unraveling the potential of our being,
No longer are there hidden meanings.We sought new ways to understand,
Remember the lyrics to Sgt. Pepper’s Band;
It was there for all to see,
What it means to be truly free!Comment: Music and lyrics can be magical and can transform the everyday connecting listeners together in special ways in 1979.
ONENESS OF EXTREMESThe storm passed through the veils of time,
Leaving magical memories so sublime;
Passion can change into something nice,
A feeling, a touch, a glimpse of paradise;Warm waves roll easily into my dreams,
From the Ocean of Emotional Extremes;
Bathing the soul with new harmonies,
Sailing life’s course on Love’s breeze.By reaching out I surrounded my essence
With you, to share the magnificence
Of worldly drama, on Earth’s creative stage;
Its from you, I take each word, each page.But now I must explain my wrongdoing,
Self-indulgence is the sin of misusing
The gifts that are given by Destiny;
So I ask for forgiveness from Thee.Comment: 1991 was a year of reflection and soul searching. Sometimes you just got to forgive yourself and move on.
THE PROMISEUnraveling the cloak of tomorrow’s confusion
Is the challenge I present to myself this day,
For some, it is the search for security,
Derived from the ambitions of more wealth;
For others, it is to stay outside and wait,
While watching the hourglass’ sand fall;
But for me, I must fulfill a promise of yesterday
Which is try to make safe all children’s play;
So who of you will join me
And challenge our human kind history,
By creating a better world to be free.Comment: This poem was written to remind myself. At the end of 1980, I needed to again challenge all that I was doing.
ALONEQuietly, into the thoughts of the unknown,
Drifting through corridors held in time,
The young man sits to write a poem,
What words describe not having a home?Humbly, from street to avenue,
Taking a few things, none are new;
The young man sits wondering what to do,
What words describe feeling like a fool?Dimly into the fog of rhyme,
Plunging Deeper into his mind,
The young man sits….
What words can truly describe?Comment: My first major low in life is when I first felt truly helpless. It was then, in 1972, I discovered why friends are so important and vowed I would never let a friend down.
INSIGHTThoughts weave the fabric of heavenly bodies
Into life forms intricately woven
And eternally spun to propagate life.
Each person realizing the web flows
Into harmonious bliss, one with everthing;
Discovering one's own essence, inside and out.
Each thought, each action changes the picture,
Changing the ageless drama into new forms,
Connecting each new creation with the whole,
And realizing the oneness of both life and death!comment: I wrote this poem in 1972, a time when you could be anything this time around. Spiritual travellers, mystics and psychic adventurers all wanted to feel the basic life energies directly and we did.
MEANINGI've been waiting oh so long
For others to sing their song,
If I could hear them
And they hear me
What a world it would be!Bringing people together
And trusting each forever,
Sharing everything you are
Especially your love
What a world it would be!Taking care in what you are doing
Because we all know meaning,
It's all around you if you could see
What a life it would be!You and I are one of a Kind
We are growing in our mind,
When looking around
Its so clear, without fear
What a life it could be!comment: In 1971 I tried writing again. Much of my rebellious nature was being replaced by finding meaning in life.
THE ANSWERThe person who sees the energy held within matter,
The person who hears the songs held within silence,
The person who travels the roads held within time,
The person who turns the keys held within thought,
The creator of dreams,
The maker of love,
The student of life,
The writer,
The searcher,
The teacher,
The master,
The Answer!comment: I have been blessed in being able to express the nature of life's universal fabric. Sometimes I feel it is a gift which at times weighs much too much. In 1980, few others are even interested.
DESPAIRTrepidations erupt from the Sea of Despair,
Emotional scars shatter the new promise,
Pulling Love into the shadows of Hell;
The torture, the anguish, the emptiness,
Groping through the blinding darkness.
Where is the Way? We seek redemption!
Or is enlightment but another sorry lie.
The chaos swarms beneath our fragile consciousness,
No help given to the victims of this endless slaughter,
Slashing pain stabs the once warm heart,
The magical joining of two souls crumbles and dies.comment: It seems the every other person I talk to is going through major relationship problems. Man bashing, woman abuse,
and so much discontent floods our society. It is scary in 1995.
WARJust a child before he left,
Something now we try to forget;
It is wrong we all do know,
To send a boy against any foe.The mind is ruler of our deeds,
Thinking will surely let us succeed;
We should know right from wrong,
Does blood make a Nation strong?Wars go on, people rise to fight,
And die to the rich men's delight,
The reason is simple but unclear,
Is it courage or a hidden fear?Man must survive his leaping greed,
To allow all peoples to be freed;
Heaven can occur in while being alive,
If to love and respect All do strive!comment: in 1968, the sleeper within me woke up to what is happening in this world and why questions became my basis for thinking.
MERLIN'S KEYGather once more the energies from within,
And breathe the life giving air of morning;
The sun dawns and bathes us in light,
Making possible the wonderous gift of sight.Free your mind and we'll turn Merlin's Key,
Unlocking the splendors of nature's harmony;
The royal majesty found in the clouds of time,
A magical reunion of memories, so sublime.Imagine with me a procession of the Wise,
In pictures, marching across afternoon skies;
Look beyond the colours of everyday thought,
Into moving space, where all life is caught.The evening brings on a reoccuring theme,
Enter the darkness that recreates the Dream;
For it is here where the Truth can be told,
Bridging the ages between the young and old.Merge with the Ancients and see with their eyes,
The purpose of life beyond all words that lie;
Now ride the winds in the Land of the Free,
Passing on the secrets so others may see.comment: In 1981, I wanted to express the life link to both the transcendental nature of present reality and the ancient wisdoms we can all learn.
IS IT POSSIBLEIs it possible to change passion and desire
Into the less volatile feelings of caring, as in friend?
How can I look at you without the hunger?
How can I talk to you without the wanting?
My soul still trembles from the thought of losing
The completeness of our hearts joined.
Yet, a voice cries out, “Love is not possession,
When you really love, it is without conditions.”
Maybe our purpose is to make each other grow,
And deal with life’s course as it is meant to be:
I do miss you, your touch, your soul with mine;
But if we are destined to be but special friends,
Please tell me how to set it all right
And end the pain that comes each night.Comment: So many people are struggling with broken relationships. I wrote this poem in 1995 while thinking if it is possible for love to continue but in a different form.
TECHNO-GODSWhat if we just gave up and let life unfold
By taking a step back to watch Nature’s way
Of determining each of our dramatic destinies?Could we disentangle ourselves from the web
Whose forces bind us to the monolith of today
And make us strive for its dictated goals?Where is the freedom to make the time to explore
Ways to unlock the potential of our being
So we can understand and move toward honesty?And why do we accept this perverted reality that the
Social Designers have set as a maze for materialism
That keeps our minds intoxicated with techno-gods?Will our world suddenly collapse when its inner fabric
Is torn apart by computer monsters that have no
Feelings built into their programs for our future?Or will we awaken with our spirits renewed and bring
Together a new humanhood which will make all safe
Within the cocoon of earth’s eternal neighbourhood?Comment: A new fear about this old theme struck me one night while I watching television sometime in 1992. Funny, about ten years later, I watched Matrix.
NIGHT FLIGHTLast night, as I slept, I thought I felt your touch
For a deep, coloured warmth spread across my loins;
I awoke to find myself beyond the desires of fantasy,
For in my room, behind the shadows of make-believe,
I found your essence had travelled to me. Could it be?
I rose, naked in thought, and moved to meet you;
Our eyes held true for that moment when time stopped:
“So you found the secret of reaching out?” I asked.
Your smile was that of radiant light as you spoke,
“With you it is easy to weave the spell to bring us together.”
We laughed, ignoring the vast waters that lie between us,
Both knowing we were joined in some mystical union.Comment: In 1982, I felt the need to express romance at a level beyond the ordinary, something deeper that is shared even when apart. Old books talk about letters of love between two who are separated by time and distance, yet love with such passion.
NOW AND THENTo hope and dream are essentially the same,
Do you know that my feelings haven’t changed?
So thin the tread stretches across the miles,
Yet, we can still share a tender thought;I’d like to say “hello” again,
It has been awhile since I’ve seen you;
I ‘d like to say “thank you” again,
It’s what you have done for me;
I’d like to say “see you soon”
It has been too long a time!Though our lives are now in different days,
The love we shared will always stay.Comment: In 1975, I started to see how friends have to part ways. Those people who have been special will always remain that way in my heart.
I CHANGEThe first change came in the love of a woman,
Realizing how one can so affect another;
Tears of joy and the pain of interwoven souls,
Never to be forgotten.The second change come in the need for worth,
Attempting to be better than at birth;
Self was measured through comparison,
A lesson not easy to learn.The third change came in becoming one’s own person,
Shedding the protective cloak of childhood;
Standing alone in the Universe of Evolution,
A new harmony found within and without.The fourth change came from the need to express,
Searching for the essence of intellect;
To learn, to understand, to know compassion,
Wisdom now known.The fifth change came in the bearing of child,
Feeling a life process in dramatic view;
Tears of joy from seeing my own being born,
Never to be forgotten.In 1979, many things were happening that made me realize once can learn from change. Riding a storm will always be a challenge.
MEDITATIONSJOINING YOUR KINDRED SPIRITS
In a quiet, candle lit room sit quietly and comfortably. Try to visualize all those people that you love and who love you. Picture each face one at a time. Mind speak to each, thanking them for traveling with you during this life time. These people are your kindred spirits, persons whose souls travel together for love and protection. Reaffirm your love and collectively as for their help in overcoming life problems. Ask them to join their souls with yours and reunite with God. Together realize the interdependent nature of our lives.
Repeat this mediation until you can visualize and join spiritually with every person you love. Then repeat periodically.
RE-LINKING WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL PASTAgain, in a quiet candle lit room, start thinking about your parents, your grandparents, and their parents and so on. If you have family pictures or articles, use them in this meditation. Recognize that over the millennia thousands of people – your ancestors – have lived and died to make your life possible. Think about the way they lived, their joys, their sorrows, their loves and hates, their hardships and toil. Give thanks to them and feel their vitality, it is part of you. To deal with your own challenges, link with all the strengths of your ancestors, but use them wisely. Understand that you are part of an evolution that has purpose, each life bringing you closer to fulfillment.
Repeat nightly until you feel the deep connection with your spiritual past and then repeat when needed.
HARMONIZE WITH YOUR SOULPick a time when you feel very spiritually aware. In a candle lit room, sit quietly and just listen to the sounds of life around you and within you. Gently move your mind into that mystical place where only you can go. What is the soul? It is the lifeline to God, the basic fabric of life. Try to feel your astral self as a forever entity that came to ret in your body at some time during your youth. Think back slowly and try to remember the first time you knew that there is more to life than that what we can see, touch, or hear. Try to remember that moment of awakening when your soul entered your body.
The joining of mind, body and soul is your personal connection with all eternal life. Your soul has knowledge and purpose. It has the wisdom collected throughout the ages. Re-link, trust your inner flame, your passion, your love. Re-establish your life mission and define what you want from life. Use your higher self to create a dream worthy of all your effort. Give thanks that you were chosen, as I don’t believe everyone has a soul. Take on this responsibility and flourish. If you don’t your life cannot work out, as it would become worthless to your soul.
Repeat this meditation as often as is necessary and continue to make your dreams come true. They do for others, so why not you!
Comment: I wrote three mediations that I use often. Each one just came to me when I was ready. I hope you have the same good fortune as I, if you chose to use them.
DEPARTUREIf I should happen to step outside of time,
And leave my presence to life-earth’s care;
Look deeply inside the fabric of our love,
For its there we are joined in Tomorrow’s birth;
Hold the warmth and strength of my meaning,
And find new pathways, new people to happiness,
For my legacy is freedom, I already turned the Key;
No pain, no sorrow, cosmic laughter kept me free
To transcend the illusions of Yesterday’s reality
And boldly seek answers to this endless mystery!Comment: When I die I want others to know it is okay…..I will be fine….smiles
JOURNEYThere is a place in space to bring together
All the wisdom that has brought us here,
It’s in between the time we call forever;
An open door through which came the Seer.To make this journey one needs no more
Than the knowledge of not being alone,
So, close your eyes, remember the lore;
And travel beyond the “Sea of Known.”Many strange sights may suddenly appear,
As you sit on a star in the endlessness;
Words may form to make all thought clear,
But the web of logic as no real essence.The conjurer spins the threads of magic,
Perception is transformed to energy flow;
A scientist or charlatan? Both can trick
Or change all the life as we now know.Sweet harmony is found for those who seek,
And self, as such, remains in childhood;
A blade of grass is ever so mild and meek,
Yet its lesson is great when understood.Comment: I have become a word person, but please remember that words only hold the truth, they are not the truth in 1980.
GIFTS TO SHAREIt isn’t often that a glance turns into Love,
When another’s essence reaches your Soul;
And the beauty held within is exposed,
Stark naked, in full view, to be shared.A passerby, perhaps from a distant past,
So beautiful that it makes possession seem
A sin, for it stirs the torment of desire;
Wanting more when there is already so much.Greed in relationships is ignored by most,
For more is defined in material things and
That makes us believe that we have wealth;
So what of the warmth from those who share?I looked into your eyes, the Universe stopped,
To allow a new blend, be it forever cherished;
For once again Fate made its demand
As when a story inspires after its end.Comment: In 1990, I couldn’t believe I still have so much to learn, tho still do.....smiles
BUTThank you for sharing your passion and desire,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings,
I’ll miss the hunger I’ve seen in your eyes,
I’ll miss the loving when your body touched mine;
I really felt we were ready for all to see,
I truly believed that we could be,
Feeling such completeness when hearts joined,
But………
For most of my life I’ve searched for someone,
Only twice did I stop, each time it was for you,
Heart and soul were not held back,
Believing it all to be true, until that day
When your love was taken away;
Blame it on life, blame it on me, no matter;
God knows there is no other,
So even though I am still around,
Don’t look deep, I can’t be found!Comment: This feeling expresses the futility when love is lost in a relationship. In 1995, destiny continues to work in mysterious ways.
FOREVERMy soul shook as I felt your closeness,
Like a child out in the cold too long;
Helpless, exposed, trembling inside,
Truth revealed in a single look:
Your eyes fell into mine,
Hearts pounding, time frozen
In a maze of a forbidden love;
But, I will not break the bond,
I will not try to forget,
I will not feel any less;
The sadness, the hurt, the fear,
Can never diminish what we share!Comment: Love comes along many times in life, that is why it is so special in 1988.
INSIDE YOUR EYES
Let me look inside your eyes,
Beyond the looks that can tell lies;
Beyond all thought is where to find,
All the secrets held in your mind.So be open and you’ll discover,
There’s more than just a lover;
See the warmth that you can share,
With all those for whom you care.Let me look inside your eyes,
And journey to your prior lives;
To explore the places where you been,
All the history that you have seen.A beggar, a priest, and once a queen,
It’s the way it was, not just a dream;
Those lives that died to bring you here,
From which to learn, never to fear.Let me look inside your eyes,
Beyond the looks that can tell lies;
Keep open this journey for all to know,
For it’s our past that makes up the soul.Comment: I wrote this poem in 1980 for all those people who are being sucked into the television view of reality. There is so much more to discover in each other, if you take the time!
DREAM LADYHer eyes were dark as night, as deep as the sky above;
A goddess, whose magic captures the desire within:
For her smile can make stillness come alive,
Her thoughts whisper the sounds of caring,
Her touch, a fire, can melt all separateness;
A woman, whose essence is in harmony,
Her universe, an endless expanse of delight,
Her gift, to share the meaning of inspiration,
Her love, the answer to eternal life,
This Lady, who moves so freely within my dreams.Comment: I wrote this to describe the unattainable yet always desirable person in our dreams. In 1982, I was becoming more aware of why people break up their marriages. The reality does not come close to matching the dream.
ATOMIC SONGMy mind wheels around, around and about,
My breath is heavy, the air won’t come out;
I fell hollow, empty, and ever so cold
The result of Man being much too bold!
The sensation spreads to my burning limbs,
Why in the world did they create such things?
Cold, so cold, the blood in my body,
I see only black, is there nobody?
The reality of death makes my thought so clear,
I curse the word Man for having such fear:
Now I only feel calm,
New sounds make a sweet song,
Peace will not be long…….Comment: In 1966, when the cold war was at its peak, I remember us having air raid drills cause someone made us believe that the Russians were all bad. I started to wake up then and wrote this poem.
JOURNEYThere is a place in space to bring together
All the wisdom that has brought us here,
It’s in between the time called “forever”
An open door through which comes the seer.To make the journey one needs no more
Than the knowledge of not being alone,

A blade of grass is ever so mild and meek,
Yet its lesson is great when understood.Comment: I am a word man, but words only hold the truth, they are not the truth, at least in 1980.
PARTING WAYSComing and going through thoughts of what was,
Those people who made fond memories for us;
Pay tribute to them for the love they share,
Knowing that they will always care:
We all need new adventures
And therefore are travelers
On these open roads in life
Which may bring smiles or strife,
We part ways
Ushering in new days,
So, here is to you and me;
Respect and love for all to see!Comment: In 1979 I have had so many wonderful people who allowed me into their lives. They may come and go but will always be special in my heart.
EVENING CALMLying on a bed, sinking softly into thought,
Having closed my door, drifting from sight;
Writing words to be shared with those who like
Images from within; those joys so subtly calm,
Songs of the mind, that blend the shadows of time;
Peacefully transcending from day to night
And then night to day, being simply what we are;
With life we live when we are learning to love,
Warmly welcoming children as they play,
To reflections from which they came, a yesterday.Comments: there is that time between coming and going that presents itself occasionally. In 1972, one did and allowed me to write this poem.
WHYThis lady who can share my dreams
Is caught in a web of complication,
No longer able to reach for love;
A person who has to feel free
And find purpose in this crazy life;
I don’t know why I feel this way
Since I have seen it all before,
Sometimes it’s difficult to learn
The lesson destiny offers to teach;
Each of us must make our decisions
Choosing from all the wonderous colours
And allowing new growth and understanding;
So, tell me why, do I still feel this way?Comment: Even though I have some basic wisdoms, I still find that feelings can override most everything in 1995.
DILEMMAHave you ever thought that breaking bubbles was fun? I did, that is, until I broke my own. To live without the protective veils is not easy. Do you know what I mean?
To face all of the forces of life has with it the complication of facing its extremes; the heaven and the hell, the love and the hate, the joy and the sorrow, the pleasure and the pain, the pride and the shame, the truths and the lies, and so much more. Courage is a word that isn’t used much but it is still a requirement to describe what it takes to face reality head on. I am tired of walking backwards into the future. Do you know what I mean?
Looking at the places we’ve been and where we are now, reality has changed from what was to what we wanted it to be. Yet, vibrations of discontent reach across the miles of life and meet together with no compromise. Do you know what I mean?
Watching and waiting, yet never stopping; still trying to make this world a little better place in which to live. Keep thinking with the sages, the prophets, the artists, the wise to discover new directions. So many people have such high expectations and wont settle for sweet simplicity. Do you know what I mean?
Comments: In 1975, I was always looking for solutions and searching for something that maybe be just a thought. I get discouraged at times.
BAGGAGE
What is yesterday but a part of Life saying good-bye!
Yet for you, there is an unyielding refusal to let go
Of past trials, trivializations, and judgments;
Which prevents the newness of today from refreshing the soul.Is there an guarantee that shared dreams will come true!
Yet for you, there is an unwillingness to recognize
That sharing, itself, always yields both joys and sorrows;
Which, in turn, presents the challenge to our hearts and minds.Is there a guarantee that love will last throughout the ages!
Yet for you there is little attempt to understand
The nature of life, death, and renewal again;
Which helps uncover our time to live, to die and renew love.What is tomorrow but some part of life saying hello!
Yet for you there are uncompromising conditions
That have to be met before you make welcome
Those persons who may be the most important in your life.Comment: In 2001 I see so many people who have such deep emotional scars that they just cant let go and let their lives blossom as they should.
STORMY
Our hearts met in some musical dance
Our bodies enwrapped each others soul,
Our lips sealed all of our tomorrows,
We knew it meant everything
These are the memories of our Love.Meeting in a floating life raft
Endlessly talking the language of love,
Hardly being able to wait even a moment
To taste the hunger that we shared
These are the memories of our Love.I still see the smiles when we met
I still hear the words that we said
I still feel the heart beat we shared
I still feel the glow of our happiness
These are the memories of our Love.Our souls became one
Our love was complete
There is nothing better
There never can be
These are the memories of our Love.Comment:: to know such love is a rare gift indeed, seems though I am seeing less and less of it in 2005
THE LURE OF CRIME
“Hey would you like to make a fast buck? I’m sure you can use the money. Come over to my place. I know I can make you rich! That’s what you want isn’t it?”As you walk into the house you quickly notice the very expensive sound/video system. You sink, comfortably, into an oversize leather chair. A few beer are put back. There’s lots of sweet smoke in the room. The people are all laid back and friendly.
Not bad, you think to yourself. “So what do you guys do to make ends meet,” you ask. “Party,” is the reply. “We think life is too short to waste, so we are going to have our fun now.” Everyone laughs.
“Right On,” you think to yourself.
Have you ever wondered why more and more young men and women are turning to crime? Well it isn’t that difficult to understand. An endless thirst for what television is promoting makes the above scenario the bait, but it doesn’t explain the full reason why. The truth is that the crime part of our society is all accepting. It doesn’t matter if you are smart, stupid, beautiful, ugly, big, small, young, old, male, female or in between. As long as you want it, there is a place in crime for you. In today’s society the crime subculture is the only alternative for naturally rebellious youth. Can you think of another?
Bored with school? Cant get along with your family? Cant find a job? Do you feel no one cares? Tired of the same old games, routines and rules? Well, the crime community is always looking for new recruits. Welcome all!
In today’s violent/pornographic/media world there is no student protest movement, no flower power people, no way to rebel and no way to escape. A young person can’t even hitch a ride to see our country, like I did. Where is the choice? What do young people do when their families break up, when they need a break from school, or when they feel lost and alone?
It wasn’t long ago when Canada and most of the world promoted youth alternatives. I can remember hitch-hiking around this world with thousands of others. Adults weren’t afraid to pick up teens event though we were anti-establishment, non-conforming, societal dropouts who were just trying to understand the world and where we wanted to fit in. It always felt like our country was on our side and we were always proud of our citizenship. We knew that crime was not going to be our future.
The reason I wrote this article is because I know that our courts are overflowing with a endless stream of young men and women. My concern is whether most of these bright, young people will ever see reason to re-enter mainstream society. Is our country willing to spend the money necessary to implement creative solutions that will stop this tidal wave of crime?
What are the solutions? First, let me say that more jails are no answer, nor are greater punishments. To prevent crime we need to make sure that young people can afford to attend college and university. If a young person has to drop out of school why not have youth job programs that are constructive and pay a wage that one can survive on. Together, we have to demonstrate to our children that there is a better way to live other than via crime. How about keeping school gyms open all summer and holidays so less kids are roaming the streets? We have to start demanding action. How about letting tv know that we are tired of the violence, pornography and sick humor that is socializing our children to become sick adults.
It is three in the morning and you know you have school in a few hours. But, it seems every one is on your case lately, so why bother going home. Being fifteen has its problems and these new friends are really nice. At least, they accept you for what you are. “If you want to crash here tonight you are welcome. When we get up we are going cruising, why don’t you come along.”
“Wow, they want me to come with them,” you say silently to yourself. “But I don’t have any money,” you reply.
“Don’t worry about it, we’ll show you how to make a lot of money. Until then we’ll treat…….GOTCHA!
