Candy's Crew Guinea Pigs The Pigs
This webpage is all about my guinea pigs. I have four guinea pigs. Their names are Cassidy, Candy, Kate, and Spout. They live in a "C&C" cage or Cubes and Coroplast cage. We got Candy from Petsmart in January of 2004. She was living in an itty-bitty pet store cage then. We got Cassidy in April of 2005 with Chip. They were living in a separate cage from Candy's. For Christmas in 2005 I got grids and coroplast to make a "C&C" cage with. I built the pigs a 28"x71" cage for all three of them. We then got Spout from a family who didn't want her anymore and she got Cassidy and Chip's old pet store cage because she didn't get along with the other pigs. Also, my parents wouldn't let me build another cage. Chip passed away in September of 2006. We got Kate from a guinea pig rescue that I found off of Petfinder.com. Kate was dumped in 2005 in 2 plastic crates in a December sleet storm with 152 other guinea pigs. She was pregnant and gave birth to 3 babies, 1 boy and 2 girls. We got Kate in October of 2006. Cassidy is red with a white band around her tummy and a white blaze down the middle of her head. My mom calls Cassidy "Momma Cass" because of her squishiness. Kate Recently passed away due to old age. Kate was the same as Cassidy except she was a rex/abbysian mix and she had a brownish instead of red. Kate was solid but it seems like she never lost her "maternal" fat. Spout is a beautiful girl with black taking up most of her body and a white crest. Her rump has a large spot of red. Spout has an attitude and is the leader of the group. Spout is squishy but not like cassidy and she nips sometimes. Candy has so many colors and patterns I can't describe her, but she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She is the lightest of the group and the most athletic. She has the nickname "Houdini" because of her escape artism when we have her on the floor.
